Car Stop Leads to Drug Bust

New Castle County Police have arrested Dominick Richards-Titus, a 20 year old male who resides in the unit block of Printz Drive in Bear, DE.  He has been charged with felony drug violations after he was stopped by police and found to be in possession of multiple bags of marijuana packaged for sale and drug paraphernalia.

Roach Exterminator Finds Drugs, Notifies Police

 

New Castle County Police have arrested Chantel Queen, a 21 year old female who resides in the 100 block of Bennet Road in the Willow Chase Apartments.  She has been charged with felony drug violations after police executed a search warrant at her apartment and found marijuana hidden inside.  The investigation originated after police received a crime tip from an exterminator who was treating her apartment for an infestation of roaches.

Police Motorcycle Involved in Crash

 

New Castle County Police Sergeant Joseph Fitzgerald narrowly escaped serious injury Wednesday while operating a police motorcycle when a vehicle made an illegal turn directly in the officer’s path.  The police vehicle struck the passenger side doors of the other car causing a total of $1,500 in damages.

Motorist Suffers Fractured Skull, Fractured Vertebrae in Motorcycle Crash

 

New Castle County Police are currently investigating a single car motorcycle crash that has left a 33 year old Newark man hospitalized in critical condition.

Police Seek Robbery Suspect

 

New Castle County Detectives are currently searching for two suspects who assaulted and robbed a pizza delivery man who had responded to a Newark home to deliver a bogus food order.  A composite sketch of one of the suspects was completed last evening and has been released to the media.

Two Pizza Deliver Drivers Robbed over the Weekend, Crime Trend Continues

 

New Castle County Police are presently investigating two unrelated robberies that occurred in different locations in the county, but are part of an ongoing series of similar crimes.  In each case, a pizza and food order was placed by bandits who robbed the pizza delivery person when they arrived at the residences to deliver the order.

Traffic Stop Leads to Gun Seizure, Bullet Proof Vest, Drugs

 

New Castle County Police have arrested four men for weapon and drug related offenses after an officer stopped them for a traffic violation and found two loaded guns, marijuana and a bullet proof vest inside the car.

14 Year Old Accidentally Shots Family Dog with Rifle

 

Two teenagers narrowly escaped serious injury this afternoon while playing with a loaded rifle that discharged and struck the family dog.  The canine was later put down due to complications to a severed left leg.

Teens Choose Wrong House to Try to Break into

 

An off duty Wilmington Police Officer, who was working an overnight shift and was sleeping inside his home, was woken by the sounds of an intruder attempting to break into his home Friday afternoon in the community of Lattimer Estates.  The officer confronted the intruders and arrested one at gunpoint.

Suspect Chases Grandmother with Butcher Knife

 

New Castle County Police have arrested Eugene Brown, a 29 year old male who resides in the unit block of Rose Lane in the community of Rosegate.  He has been charged with weapon and related offenses after he chased his grandmother with a butcher knife and threatened to kill her while possibly under the influence of PCP.

Trespasser Charged with Weapon, Drugs Violations

 

New Castle County Police have arrested Eddie Rodriguez, a 19 year old male who resides in the 100 block of Gander Way in Chestertown, Maryland.  He has been charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and related offenses after foot patrol officers stopped him in the Lexington Green Apartments and found he was in possession of a concealed large fixed blade knife and marijuana.

DUI Suspect Rescued from His Own Garage, Narrowly Escapes Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

New Castle County Police have arrested Vahit Balci, a 33 year old male who resides in the 200 block of Cheyenne Drive in the community of Wrangle Hill Estates.  He has been charged with DUI and related offenses after he drove his car across his neighbor’s yard.  He then proceeded to his own home and crashed his car into the interior of his garage.  Officers were forced to kick in his front door and rescued him from the garage while his car was running with the garage door down.

Domestic Complaints Lead to Seizure of Drugs, AK-47 Assault Rifle, Shotgun

 

New Castle County Police have arrested a couple for felony drug and weapon violations after a heated argument inside their apartment prompted a concerned neighbor to call 911.  While investigating the disturbance at the home, police observed and later seized marijuana and two guns.

(Newark, DE)  A Frenchtown Woods residence has been condemned by New Castle County Code Enforcement officials after the home was deemed unsafe for habitation due to unsanitary conditions.

(Fairfax, DE)  New Castle County Police are currently investigating at least 12 thefts from motor vehicles overnight (Tuesday into Wednesday) in the following communities: Fairfax, McDaniel Crest, and Blue Rock Manor.

Two Teens Hospitalized After Ingesting Heart Medication

Drug Dealer Arrested

 

New Castle County Police have arrested a 16 year old Wilmingtonmale who sold two classmates several “Rythmol” pills at school on Monday.  The victims, believing they had purchased Percocets, ingested the pills and suffered serious medical complications.  One victim remains in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.

Police Canine Apprehends Fleeing Felon

 

New Castle County Police have arrested Bryon Kopylec, a 29 year old male who resides in the 400 block of Woods Road in Bear, DE.  He has been charged with (felony) non-compliance of a court order, unlawful imprisonment, terroristic threatening, offensive touching and resisting arrest.  He was arrested after a police canine found him hiding inside a closet in his home.

Burglary Investigation Leads Police to Homicide Suspect

New Castle County Police have arrested Raheem Brown, a 30 year old male who resides in the unit block of Golden Acres Drive in Claymont, DE.  Brown was stopped by police as officers were investigating a reported burglary that just occurred at his residence.  Brown was found to be a fugitive from Chester, PA who was wanted for murder.

Two Men Shot in Collins Park

 

New Castle County Police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left two men with minor gunshot wounds to the upper body.  Police discovered the two shooting victims were attacked after driving two other men home from Philadelphia after the Phillies championship parade.

Burglar Linked to Drug Offenses, Trafficking Heroin

 

As a result of multiple search warrants, New Castle County Detectives have recovered 43 bundles of heroin (street value $10,000) from Alexander Barreto’s home and car.  Barreto was arrested yesterday and charged with multiple counts of burglary and related offenses.

New Castle County Police have arrested Griffith Jones, a 22 year old male who resides in the 100 block of Horse Shoe Road in Newark.  He has been charged with menacing two men with a .45 caliber handgun and firing two shots before fleeing in a vehicle.

New Castle County Police have arrested Sean Simoes, an 18 year old male who resides in the 100 block of Netherland Drive in Middletown, DE.  He has been charged with felony drug violations after an officer stopped him for driving a vehicle at night without two operable headlights and later found marijuana and Xanax pills inside his car.

Carjacking Suspect Causes Crash, Injures Three

 

New Castle County Police have arrested Candus Houck, a 29 year old female who resides in the unit block of Chandler Circle in Bear, DE.  She has been charged with carjacking related offenses, DUI, and causing a serious crash moments after stealing the car.  After the collision, she got out of the car, urinated in the grassy area near the crash scene, and then started to walk away when she was detained by witnesses and police.

New Castle County Police have arrested Maurice Williams, a 15 year old male who resides in the 2800 block of N. Washington Street in Wilmington.  He has been charged with one count of burglary after he and another unidentified male broke into a home in Hockessin and were confronted by the homeowner.

Speeding Teen Nearly Strikes Two Officers with Car

 

New Castle County Police have arrested Grace Fox, a 19 year old female who resides in the 500 block of Glenside Avenue in the community of Carcroft.  She was arrested after officers, who were conducting a radar assignment, tried to stop her for traveling 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.  Instead of stopping as instructed by the officers, she sped up and nearly struck them both.

New Castle County Police have arrested two adult males for shooting passing cars with a pellet gun in the community of Becks Wood.  At the time of their arrest, both men were covered in mud as they attempted to hide from police in a marsh type area.

Hydraulic Jacks Stolen, Value $23,000

 

New Castle County Police are currently investigating a burglary of a storage shed and subsequent theft of 11 large hydraulic jacks that were stolen from the property.  These items are specifically designed for a particular industry.  Otherwise, they could be sold for scrap.

Theft Suspect’s Image Captured on Surveillance Camera

 

New Castle County Police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a male subject who investigators believe broke into two cars in the community of Forest Ridge and stole credit cards belonging to the victims.  The suspect’s image was later captured on video as he used the victims stolen cards to make several purchases in New Castle.

New Castle County Police have arrested Jova Gomez, a 37 year old female who resides in the unit block of Avignon Drive in the community of Frenchtown Woods.  She has been charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child after she left her daughter, who had just been released from the hospital after having minor surgery, locked inside her car for two hours while she went to work and went shopping.

New Castle County Police have arrest warrants on file for Victoria Bridgewater, a 19 year old female who resides in the 100 block of Winder Road in the community of Garfield Park.  She is wanted for robbing her mother at knifepoint, physically assaulting her and then stealing her car, purse, cell phone and other personal items.

New Castle County Police have arrested Adrien Padovani, a 26 year old female who resides in the 1600 block of Cleland Cross Road in Wilmington.  She has been charged with insurance fraud and related offenses after she paid a man to steal her car so she could make an insurance claim and get out of a $15,000 debt.

Theft Suspect’s Image Captured on Surveillance Camera

 

New Castle County Police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a male subject who forced his way into a vehicle that was parked at the A.I. DuPont Hospital and removed a GPS system.  The suspect’s image was captured by security cameras at the hospital as he fled through the front gate.

New Castle County Police have arrested Robert Schaefer, a 30 year old male who resides in the 5500 block of Heritage Court Drive in Wilmington.  He has been charged with speeding and felony drug violations after he passed a police car traveling 20 miles an hour over the posted speed limit and was later found to be in possession of 25 bags of heroin.

Three Suspects Charged with Felony Drug Violations

 

New Castle County Police have arrested three adults for felony drug violations after police completed a one week investigation into reported drug sales from an area home.  As a result of the investigation, police seized cash, prescription pills and over 30 grams of cocaine were recovered from a car and New Castle home.

New Castle County Police are presently investigating an early morning burglary to an apartment in the Maryland Park Apartments.  A surveillance camera captured the image of a male subject who was fleeing the area during the time the crime occurred.

Hillsgrove Surrenders

 

Bruce Hillsgrove turned himself in to New Castle County Police late Monday after his mugshot and arrest warrant information was released to the media.  He was wanted for scamming a number of parents who thought they were signing up their children to play in a baseball tournament in Aberdeen, Maryland.  Instead, he stole the $1,600 he collected from the parents and never registered the kids for the tournament as promised.

New Castle County Police have arrest warrants on file for Bruce Hillsgrove, a 43 year old male who resides in the 1700 block of Appleton Road in Elkton, MD.  He is wanted for scamming a number of parents who thought they were signing up their children to play in a baseball tournament in Aberdeen, Maryland.  Instead, he stole the $1,600 he collected from the parents and never registered the kids for the tournament as promised.

New Castle County Police have arrested Shawn E. Jones, a 24 year old male who resides in the 500 block of E. Hanna Drive in Newark, DE.  He has been charged with DUI and multiple felony drug offenses after he crashed his car into several signs while rolling a marijuana cigarette and under the influence of drugs.

2 Month Old Daughter in Grave Condition

 

New Castle County Police have arrested Aaron Blackshear, a 23 year old male who resides in the 400 block of Filmore Court in the community of Stoneybrook.  He has been charged with one count of assault by abuse or neglect after detectives determined he violently shook his daughter and tossed her to the floor because she was crying too much.  The child has been hospitalized with multiple broken bones and severe brain damage.

New Castle County Police have arrested Barbara A. Johnson, a 41 year old female who resides in the 500 block of W. 25th Street in Wilmington.  She has been charged with several felony offenses after police discovered she was the caregiver of an 84 year old female and was stealing money from her account and opening up new credit accounts in the victim’s name.
